The annual Chelmsford Discovery Children’s Open Water Triathlon Event is held at Writtle University College in July. This event has received great acclaim and grown significantly in size since its inception in 2015. It is one of the very rare opportunities for children to experience open water swimming accompanied by a cycling discipline on tarmac.

We are pleased to announce that next year’s Discovery Open Water Triathlon Children’s Event is scheduled to take place on Sunday 5 July 2026.
Entries will go live on: 18 January 2026.
Places will go fast, so please ensure you sign up early to avoid disappointment. Entries close at 2300 on 21 June 2026.
